Love is a complicated emotion. Love is defined as a strong positive emotion of regard and affection. We use the word "love" to describe many things that we enjoy, but our love for God is born in our hearts.
God's love for us runs deep and He expects that same love in return. It is easy for a person to say that they love God, but that love should come from the heart. 2 Corinthians 3: 3- Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in the fleshly tables of the heart.
Salvation comes with the belief that Jesus Christ is Lord. We believe in our hearts that He is the Son of God, and that He came to save us from our sins. Romans 10: 8- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart, that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. We have to know and believe in our hearts, that Jesusis the Son of God, our Redeemer, the King of Kings. The scripture says that when we believe these things in our hearts, we will be saved.
Words are easily spoken, and easily carried away on the wind. It is the words that live in our hearts that have lasting power. When we carry our love for God deep within us, we will always be ready to tell the world about the wonders of God. 1 Peter 3:3- But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and be ready always to given an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
Throughout the Bible, it always speaks about the heart. Our belief in God and our faith in Jesus Christ has to be from the heart. Romans 10: 10- For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
God looks deep within each of us to our heart. God isn't impressed with the outward appearance. It doesn't matter to Him how we look, but it does matter to him about the condition of our heart. 1 Samuel 16; 7b- For the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
Belief begins in the heart. Our faith in God as our Father, and Jesus Christ as our Savior, and the Holy Spirit as our Comforter, is an affair of the heart.
